    Responsibilities

    About This Position

     

    Under the direction of the Manager of Health Information, the Medical Records Clerk is responsible for obtaining and assembling discharged patient records, filing miscellaneous reports into records, handling requests for records, dispersal of dictation, completion of birth certificates, analysis of out-patient records, filing records daily, and providing service to all customers as needed.

     

    Selection Criteria

     

    Proficiency with 10-key and ability to type 40 wpm. Experience in terminal digit filing. Knowledge of HIPAA and laws regarding release of information.
