Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Community Center/Information, Tickets & Travel Center. You will plan and assist with the ITT program in accordance with regulations, establishing a comprehensive program that meets the needs of the serviced population. Responsibilities Under direct supervision of the Community Center Director the incumbent will plan and assist with the ITT program in accordance with regulations, establishing a comprehensive program that meets the needs of the serviced population. Assists with reviewing and choosing vendor offerings to create a leisure catalog of recurring and non-recurring programs, including for-fee, low-fee, and no-fee options. Assists with planning and advisory services for customized tours and trips, and coordinate with recreational providers to negotiate pricing and resolve vendor/participant issues. Assists with the efficient and cost-effective operation of the ITT program, including financial management, personnel management, and internal control systems. Design new programs by assisting and helping improve existing ones, assisting with conducting briefings and presentations to promote ITT activities and working with marketing specialists to develop publicity plans. Assists with Community Center programs and activities including base wide events. Responsible for P-Card charges and following proper processing procedures for ITT, Community Center and base-wide events. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of a military installation's ITT program, including tools, methods, and techniques for assessing and administering leisure travel and recreational needs. Knowledge of the commercial leisure industry, including transportation, lodging, dining, and entertainment segments. Knowledge of safety, security, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Skill in developing and implementing business and marketing plans. Ability to conduct briefings and presentations too small to large groups. Ability to plan, organize, and direct a revenue-generating non appropriated fund activity. Applicant must have strong communication skills in English and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift objects up to 10 pounds. Pre-employment physical is required. Position may require an uncommon tour of duty. Tier 1 background is required. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
