This role will be based in Mountain View, CA.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
The Agent Platform team is building the foundational infrastructure and frameworks that power the next generation of intelligent agents at LinkedIn. Our mission is to accelerate the development and deployment of LLM agents. We're responsible for the underlying orchestration platform that enables long-running, multi-agent workflows at scale, and we're evolving it to support dynamic, cognitive, and personalized agent experiences across key LinkedIn products.
As we scale the platform to support broader adoption, our focus is threefold: ensuring platform reliability and operational excellence, integrating advanced cognitive capabilities like memory and personalization, and enabling faster product velocity through developer-friendly frameworks and OSS integrations (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen).
Responsibilities:You will manage the performance and career development of a small team of engineers, and own significant parts of LinkedIn products that require design, architecture, and codingYou will participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology roadmapYou will be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanshipYou will work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.You will manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speediness and qualityYou will develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration
Basic Qualifications:BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience1+ year(s) of management experience or 1+ year(s) of staff level engineering experience with management training5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software engineeringExperience programming in object-oriented and/or functional programming languages (like Java/Python/C/C++/Scala/etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline2+ years of hands-on software engineering/technical management and people management experience7+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions. 5+ years programming experience in languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Python, Go, etc.Experience in the design and development of performant, highly available, scalable web applicationsUnderstanding of common performance patterns and anti-patterns in distributed systemsSuccessful track record of managing small teams of engineers to deliver multiple projects on time and with qualityActive involvement in the creation and execution of technical strategies and roadmapsHire and retain world-class engineers by providing career growth, mentoring, and high impact projects, while taking intelligent risks to improve the way work is done

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $200,000 - $268,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
