Immediate hiring: Pallet jack operator/Forklift operator

Job Description

You will be trained to operate a forklift to efficiently move products around the production facility. You will follow orders to pick up glass products and transport them to necessary destinations, which may include staging areas for production, storage areas, or loading and unloading trucks for transport or shipping. Your responsibilities may also include ensuring the production line has sufficient materials, moving and emptying racks, and loading and reloading packers. Occasionally, you may need to get on and off the forklift to adjust, wrap, or package products. While no scanning is involved, some basic computer skills will be useful until the system is updated.

Responsibilities

+ Operate a forklift to move products within the facility.

+ Transport glass products to staging areas, storage, or trucks.

+ Ensure production line is supplied with necessary materials.

+ Move and empty racks as needed.

+ Load and reload packers.

+ Adjust, wrap, or package products as necessary.

Essential Skills

+ Forklift operation (experience preferred but not required)

+ Material handling (experience preferred but not required)

+ Basic computer skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Manufacturing labor or production experience highly preferred

+ Experience with RF scanners, shipping, and receiving is a plus

+ No formal education or previous experience required, but relatable experience is highly preferred

Work Environment

Work in a mild climate-controlled manufacturing facility that may get cooler in winter and warmer in summer, but all work is conducted indoors. The facility is clean, well-organized, and automated.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tipton, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
