    Job Summary:

    As an Associate of FX Networks’ On-Air Promotions Scheduling, you will be responsible for assisting OAP personnel in a variety of tasks that enable the accurate scheduling and delivery of the network’s daily broadcast log. The Associate position is a daily deadline-oriented role that directly impacts the look and quality of the FX networks.

     

    Your daily duties include heavy promo-data entry, interacting with Commercial Administration department about log issues, and assisting with scheduling automation elements.

     

    Additional duties include administrative support on sponsored promo elements, cross-channel/synergy promo assistance, credit squeeze placement, contingency log creation, intermittent VOD scheduling and trafficking support, and back-up promo lists for live programming.

     

    You will work with OAP departments across the FX suite of networks to ensure the success of all. This role reports to a Promo Scheduling Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    Schedules on-air promo elements into the company’s traffic system (i.e. promos, interstitials, added-value/sponsored promo elements, cross-channel/synergy spots, program intros, promo advisories, etc.)

     

    Creates the daily credit squeeze promo grids and back-up/contingency promo lists

     

    Schedules daily promo automation elements that air within program segments

     

    Assists OAP Trafficking and Operations personnel in scheduling-related tasks as directed

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum of 2 years of prior work or internship experience in the television industry, marketing and promotions experience preferred.

     

    Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills are necessary

     

    Extremely detail oriented. Must thrive on working in an intense, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

     

    Must have ability to multitask, effectively coordinate changing priorities, and handle tight deadlines

     

    Strong communication skills are required. Communication with various departments required on a daily basis. Ability to work closely and collaborate with others a must

     

    Ability to make decisions and suggestions on placement of promos based on the current priorities and audience composition

     

    A general knowledge of the television industry, both linear and streaming, is important

     

    Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook required

    Preferred Experience/Skills:

    Familiarity with any of the broadcast-log computer systems

     

    Strong knowledge of current TV industry/landscape/formats

     

    Experience related to Scheduling, Research, Programming and/or Operations

     

    General knowledge of linear broadcast logs

    Required Education:

    Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of work experience

    ***Please note: this is an in office role 4x/week (Monday-Thursday), working from home on Friday in our Burbank, CA location.***

     

    The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $58,700.00 to $78,600.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
