    Job Overview

     

    Spahn & Rose Lumber, the 2022 LBM Dealer of the Year, has an opening for a Material Handler at our store in Dubuque, IA This position offers a competitive wage and a great benefits package including medical, dental, 401k match, profit sharing, PTO, flex spending, and more!

    Responsibilities:

    + The loading and unloading of trucks safely, efficiently and effectively.

    + Stocking materials as assigned.

    + Build loads for delivery.

    + Driving a vehicle in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

    + Ensure the customer is always serviced first by providing safe, timely and efficient delivery service of building materials.

    + Operating a fork truck.

    + Check load to ensure it is properly secured and the correct material and amount of material is being delivered before leaving the yard.

    + Keep lumber yard clean, well-organized and safe.

    Qualifications:

    + Must have valid driver’s license.

    + Previous warehouse or forklift experience is preferred.

    + Repetitive lifting of up to 35 pounds, 70lbs occasionally and the ability to bend and twist in awkward positions.

    + Basic reading, writing comprehension and math skills required.
