Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Support Coordinator supports high quality, patient-centered care by autonomously directing, and providing feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Clinical Support Coordinator supports multiple units. The Clinical Support Coordinator provides direction, accountability and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
What you will do in this role:
+ You will perform rounds on each nursing unit, continuously observing, evaluating, assessing the quality of patient care, and identifying nursing educational needs.
+ You will address and escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.
+ You will provide feedback on nursing assessments, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care; provide feedback and mentoring on patient assessments and care planning; and provide assistance with performing or troubleshooting specific skills.
+ You will direct and ensure nurses within scope of support have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience behaviors into quality, safety, and nursing practice.
+ You will serve as an example of professional nursing practice and promotes pride in nursing for the organization, the community, and the health care industry.
+ You will serve as a mentor and direct support for nursing colleagues.
What qualifications you will need:
+ Bachelors Degree in Nursing required. MSN preferred.
+ Valid and current California Registered Nurse license.
+ Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience required.
+ Minimum 1 year of leadership and/or preceptor experience highly preferred.
+ BCLS and ACLS certification required.
+ Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
+ Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
+ PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
