    Requirements

    + Caregiver Certification or Equivalent experience (may have CNA or LNA license)

    + Valid CPR and First Aid certifications

    + Valid AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card

    + Evidence of a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray

    + Article 9 and Prevention and Support certifications (preferred)

    Qualifications

    + High school graduate or G.E.D certificate preferred.

    + Caregiver: 1 year (Preferred)

    + Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job.

    + Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile

    + Authorized to work in the U.S.A.

     

    Skills

     

    + Effective listening skills and communication among residents and staff

    + Planning and Time Management skills

    Responsibilities:

    + Assist with daily living activities (bathing, showering, toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding etc.)

    + Personal Hygiene care such as changing briefs, nail care, mouth care, etc.

    + Meal Preparation

    + Housekeeping/Laundry duties for all residents

    + Properly transferring residents from bed to chair, chair to toilet, chair to vehicle etc.

    + Monitoring any changes in resident’s health, and properly reporting changes as needed

    + Maintain confidentiality of all residents

    + Collaboration performance and ensuring you’re working as a team with other staff

    + Must be able to provide companionship to residents (i.e. crafts, painting, sensory games etc.)

    + Other clinical or non-clinical duties that may be assigned by the group home manager as necessary

     

    Summary of Duties: As a Dreamcare of AZ Group Home Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care of up to 6 adult residents with developmental disabilities. The Group Home Caregiver must present full clinical understanding of each resident and their care, attend to their needs, and maintain professional conduct and communication.
