Part-Time Job Coach for People with Disabilities

Monday-Saturday, hours from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Witco is currently seeking part-time Direct Support Professional's to provide on-the-job support to people with disabilities working in Ada County.

Witco is a nonprofit human service agency serving the Treasure Valley for more than 50 years. At Witco we are dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to greater independence.

Job coaching is a fulfilling and indispensable profession. Without job coaches, people with disabilities would not be able to experience being a productive member in the workforce, gaining independence, and receiving monetary compensation for their work.

Essential Duties:

Provide work and employment training services training to people who are cognitively, behaviorally and/or physically disabled at their place of work.Assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively.

Teach job skills to the employee and guide in learning to complete job tasks.

Assist the employee with soft skills such as social skills and communication in the workplace.

Coach employee on fine-tuning work habits/skills to maintain employment.

Help the employee stay motivated through difficult times.

Encourage the development of self-esteem and independence.

Liaison with the employer to identify workplace needs and goals, and the employee's role in them.

Provide or arrange transportation if needed.

Monitor progress towards goals, collect data on all services provided, evaluate results, make recommendations.

Complete goal tracking documentation daily and maintain accurate records.
