Job Summary:

The School of Nursing at Radford University invites applications for a Full-Time Special Purpose 9-month Instructor/Assistant Professor position at Radford University’s Roanoke, Virginia location. Responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, and service with expectations of recent clinical practice. Psychiatric Mental Health and/or Medical-Surgical experience is required. Prior experience teaching Nursing in the classroom, the skills laboratory, the health assessment laboratory, online, and in clinical settings is desired. This position requires clinical teaching in addition to lecture responsibilities. Preference will be given to those applicants with the education, certification, extensive leadership and clinical experience, and the desire to teach in the classroom and in the clinical setting for the undergraduate programs.

Required Qualifications:

Master of Science in Nursing. Unencumbered Virginia licensure eligibility. Experience in Psychiatric Mental Health and/or Medical-Surgical practice is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those with the education, leadership experience, certification and desire to teach subject matter determined by the SON to students in the Undergraduate program. Recent clinical experience desired. Prior experience in teaching Nursing in the classroom, online, in the skills laboratory, in the health assessment laboratory, and in clinical settings is desired.
