The N-Tech Software Engineering team plays a vital role in developing internal solutions to streamline employee productivity. Our goal is to make employees' daily activities frictionless and nurture their overall experience, subsequently saving Netflix time and money.

| ABOUT YOU

You are an individual who thrives on independence, has a passion for creating high-quality products, and can form close work partnerships with engineers, product managers, and designers. You are adept at problem-solving, enjoy a challenge, and have experience building scalable, high-performing applications. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and, most importantly, you have experience with back-end technologies, AI, GenAI, LLMs, and possibly even applying them to enterprise problems.

In this role, you'll help shape our strategy and vision and help us integrate AI into our enterprise employee-facing applications. You’ll be a part of the team chartered with building company-wide tools for the entire workforce and will partner with your peers to execute and deliver on the broader strategy and vision. You'll design, develop, and maintain products, infrastructure, and integrations with third-party and other teams’ services. You will collaborate effectively with myriad teams and communicate technical ideas persuasively. You influence and shape team and project direction through effective partnerships across the entire company to save Netflix time and money and enhance productivity for the whole workforce.

| RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Design/ architect, develop, test, deploy, and operate fully integrated solutions across build/buy that provide seamless end-to-end product experiences.

+ Influence broad AI strategy and vision for internal enterprise applications.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate generative AI solutions into existing workflow systems.

+ Apply AI and GenAI responsibly to solve enterprise problems for the whole company.

+ Design, build, and maintain infrastructure for modern integration methods between our applications, third-party services, and other Netflix teams' services.

+ Collaborate extremely effectively with product managers, designers, other engineers, stakeholders, and vendors on projects within the team and across all of Netflix.

+ Communicate technical ideas and work closely with other senior members of the team.

| SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

+ 5+ years of experience as a front-end software engineer, demonstrably delivering on time, at quality

+ 2+ years of deep experience with Applied AI, GenAI, LLMs, ML, RAG etc.

+ Expert knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and modern design patterns and data layers

+ Expert knowledge of Python and/or Java

+ Demonstrable ability to lead a project and deliver an end product on time, at quality

+ Passion to build internal solutions and own development of enterprise-wide applications

+ Extensive knowledge of building quality APIs for internal and external products

+ Lots of experience integrating internal and third-party services into your solutions

+ Expert knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS), GCP

| AI SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

+ Experience in NLP or reinforcement learning

+ Experience with machine learning frameworks (eg PyTorch, TensorFlow)

+ Strong understanding of deep learning architectures

+ Demonstrated ability to implement AI solutions across various domains" instead

The overall market range for roles in this area of Netflix is typically $100K - $900K
