RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: To support new and developing CTE teachers across all BOCES CTE programs. This 10-month position will focus on improving instructional practices, strengthening curriculum, and supporting classroom operations across a variety of technical and trade areas. The CTE Teacher Coach plays a critical role in building teacher capacity and ensuring high-quality, industry-aligned instruction.

Job Qualifications

Required:

+ Valid New York State teaching certification in a Career and Technical Education area.

+ Minimum of five (5) years successful experience teaching in a CTE classroom or lab setting.

+ Strong understanding of CTE pedagogy, curriculum design, and classroom management.

+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.

+ Willingness and ability to travel between CTE sites throughout Jefferson and Lewis Counties.

Preferred:

+ Experience in instructional coaching, mentoring, or professional development facilitation.

+ Familiarity with NYSED CTE program requirements, technical assessments, and work-based learning initiatives.

+ Knowledge of trauma-informed practices, equity in education, and instructional strategies for diverse learners.

COMPENSATION: Salary: Starting at $60,000. This is a 10-month position. Salary commensurate with experience and certification held in keeping with the current agreement.
