Reports to: HR Shared Service Manager
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the HR Shared Service Manager, this position is responsible for the administration and optimization of company benefit programs. The Benefits Specialist will manage day-to-day benefits operations including enrollments, employee support, vendor coordination, invoice auditing and processing, compliance reporting, and data accuracy across platforms. This role will partner closely with internal HR teams, payroll, and external vendors to ensure a seamless benefits experience for employees and compliance with all applicable regulations.
Responsibilities:
+ Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, HSA/FSA, 401(k), and wellness initiatives
+ Support annual open enrollment planning, communication, and execution
+ Serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution
+ Ensure benefits practices and documentation comply with plan requirements, ERISA, ACA, and other regulations
+ Audit and maintain benefit data integrity across HRIS, carrier systems, and payroll integrations
+ Coordinate and complete annual 401(K) audit
+ Coordinate with payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and adjustments
+ Monitor and reconcile benefits invoices, support reporting and audits
+ Assist with leave of absence processes including FMLA, disability, and related benefits coordination
+ Provide reporting and data analysis to support benefit plan decisions and vendor renewals
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline and improve benefit-related processes
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent relevant experience
+ Benefits-related certification a plus
Experience:
+ 3 to 6+ years of experience in employee benefits administration or related HR function
Skills:
+ Strong understanding of employee benefits regulations and compliance requirements
+ High level of proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP WFN preferred), Excel, and benefit platforms
+ Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
+ Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
+ Strong communication skills and ability to explain benefit concepts to diverse employee populations
+ Adaptable to shifting priorities and new responsibilities in a dynamic environment
