Summary

As a Sr. Controls Engineer, you will lead the design, installation, and maintenance of vendor specific PLC systems.

Responsibilities:

+ Serve as the lead programmer of the automation and controls systems of various manufacturers (Italy, Japan, Korea)

+ Create, monitor, and modify logic for program design, simulation and testing, start-up, and troubleshooting

+ Analyze equipment issues and lead the advancement of equipment programs

+ Perform equipment preventive maintenance

+ Create and track FDC

+ Serve as Subject Matter Expert to improve equipment production

+ Document procedures, including trouble shooting and root cause analysis

+ Collaborate with multiple vendors

+ Provide training to Engineers, Technicians, and Operators

+ Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

+ Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

+ Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience:

+ 7+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or automotive engineering environment

+ Experience in Battery systems or processes is desired

+ Experience with C# and Python

Skills:

+ Expert knowledge of controls and electrical systems design, automation, mechanical assemblies, and manufacturing assembly equipment

+ Expert knowledge of electrical systems and Mitsubishi PLC & Pro-face HMI software

+ Proven programming skills

+ Strong mechanical skills

+ Proven problem-solving and analytical skills

+ Excellent time management and the ability to work independently

+ Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated

+ Excellent communication skills

+ Ability to mentor, train, and collaborate with other teams across the organization

+ Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production team

+ Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support and work with HQ and global sites
