Summary:
This position will provide work order management and administrative support to the team by coordinating placing orders for Machine Shop consumable parts, maintaining work logs, creating and updating records, initiating electronic approvals, and assisting with Machine Shop operations duties as needed.
Responsibilities:
+ Manage work orders through the EMS System, coordinating with external outsourcing for machining and fabrication parts for improvement and emergency repair.
+ Daily work orders status update on excel and EMS for current work order opening/closed.
+ Create and maintain fabrication schedules, providing cost estimates and tracking monthly cost-saving.
+ Utilize Singlex procurement for EA. Working with Accounts Payable for invoicing issues; Working with Purchasing Team for Purchase Order and Estimated Time of Arrival status.
+ Maintaining Machine Shop’s tool chest inventory list, inventory, and material inventory. Internal purchase processes for restocking when supplies fell below minimum thresholds. Inventory Control responsibility for the timely purchase of materials, supplies, and tools.
+ Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
- Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
- Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
+ Control to meet project deadlines
+ Identify and control quality related procedures: nonconforming/noncompliant products material goods
+ GMIMS management, tracking, delivery and retrieval of Machine Shop gage calibration
+ Provide guidelines and actively maintaining 5s standards
+ Submitting EAs for Machine Shop, Internal Spare Parts, and Work Orders
+ Submit facility work order request
+ Perform standard metric measurement conversions
+ Review and close Machine Shop work orders
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience
Experience:
+ 1 to 3 years of previous work experience in manufacturing preferred
+ Working knowledge of EMS and ERP (preferred)
