We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller with expertise in insurance collections, appeal submissions, and denials management to join our collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Medical Biller to manage, analyze, and optimize the reimbursement process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with medical billing, insurance collections, denial resolution, and appeal creation, ensuring accurate and timely payments for services rendered.

Core Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and submit claims to various insurance payers (commercial and government) in compliance with payer-specific guidelines.

+ Conduct insurance collections, including follow-up on outstanding claims to ensure prompt and accurate payment.

+ Analyze claim denials, identify root causes, and formulate effective appeals to resolve unpaid claims.

+ Verify insurance eligibility and patient benefits before claim submissions to avoid delays in reimbursement.

+ Resolve discrepancies in payments, track underpayments, and address any billing issues with payers or internal departments.

+ Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal staff regarding claim statuses, billing inquiries, and resolutions.

+ Stay updated on payer requirements, industry coding changes, and compliance standards to ensure claims adhere to current regulations.

+ Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations.

+ Generate reports and provide updates to leadership on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals performance metrics.

Requirements

+ 3 years of experience in medical billing with direct involvement in insurance collections, denials, and appeals.

+ Strong understanding of medical billing practices, payer rules, and healthcare reimbursement models.

+ Working knowledge of medical coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and claim forms (UB-04, CMS-1500).

+ Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as Epic, Cerner, or similar platforms.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

+ Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
