Automation Lead
Alight is seeking a skilled and passionate Automation Lead with a strong customer focus, ability to solve complex business problems, attention to detail and highly collaborative communication skills. Automation lead will lead a team of talented Automation testers & Performance testers to deliver a high-quality customer facing progressive web app that can run at scale. We are looking for a hands-on technical leader who embrace new technologies with cutting edge development practices, Continuous Integration, continuous delivery.
Qualifications:
+ BE/ B. Tech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Role Expectations:
+ A great mentor that is responsible for leading a team, and responsible for the qualityof its deliverables
+ Creating buy-in for the strategy, setting priorities and communicating across business partners andstakeholders
+ Defining a world-class customer/delivery experience for our customers
+ Responsible for defining the project processes and best practices and ensure compliance tothe processes defined to ensure quality delivery at the right time
+ Provide management, administrative/technical support to project team and ensure programdeliverables are met timely and efficiently
+ Participate in technical discussions with Tech Lead, Architect and QA to ensure adequatelevel of detailsare captured
+ Attend program/project-related status meetings to share relevant updates with Project StakeHolders and analyse variations and take corrective actions for the observed variations
+ Maintains high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices andhabits.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

+ Highly motivated and willing to work in a rapidly evolving environment
Responsibility Areas:
+ Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to engineers working with MERN technologies.
+ Technical Oversight: Review code, architecture decisions and ensure adherence to best practices.
+ Collaboration: Foster collaboration between cross-functional teams, including developers, designers and product managers.
+ Recruitment and Onboarding: Participate in the hiring process, interview candidates and onboard new team members.
+ Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations, set goals and provide constructive feedback to team members.
+ Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project updates, challenges and progress to stakeholders, including top management.
+ Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovations and knowledge sharing within the team.
+ Risk Management:Identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact project delivery or product quality.
+ Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest developments in MERN technologies and industry trends to ensure the team remains competitive and innovative.
+ QA Automation:
+ Test Design and Development:
+ Create and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
+ Design test cases and strategies to cover various functionalities and scenarios.
+ Develop and implement automation testing protocols.
+ Test Execution and Analysis:
+ Execute automated tests and analyse the results to identify defects.
+ Report defects to the development team and track their resolution.
+ Conduct regression testing to ensure that new code doesn't break existing functionality.
+ Collaboration and Communication:
+ Communicate test results and findings effectively.
+ Participate in sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
+ Tool Proficiency:
+ Proficiency in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber, TOSCA, Functionize).
+ Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., .Net, Python, JavaScript).
+ Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
+ Continuous Improvement:
+ Identify opportunities to improve the testing process and automation framework.
+ Stay up to date with the latest testing technologies and best practices.
+ Performance Automation:
+ Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter and LoadRunner.
+ Conduct load, stress, scalability, and endurance testing for applications.
+ Analyse test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide optimization recommendations.
+ Work closely with development, DevOps, and business teams to ensure performance standards are met.
+ Prepare detailed test reports and document performance benchmarks.
+ Troubleshoot issues related to latency, throughput, and resource utilization.
+ Strong experience in JMeter, LoadRunner, and other performance testing tools.
Required Skills:
+ 10 -12 Yrs of total professional experience.
+ 3+ years of experience in leading automation team.
+ Sound knowledge of Software Architecture and design patterns.
+ Collaborate effectively with designers, developers and other stakeholders to achieve design objectives
+ Knowledge of Cloud Architecture & Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices.
+ Proven experience managing projects involving .Net, CRM, ETL, and Integrations.
+ Experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic).
+ Knowledge of SQL and database performance testing.
+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating performance tests.
Alight requires all virtual interviews to be conducted on video.
