Southeast Health seeks additional Cardiovascular Surgeon to join their well-established hospital-employed practice of 2 board-certified surgeons. Our Medical Center has the strongest Cardiovascular program in the region, ranking in the Top 10 percent nationally for patient safety for heart attack, interventional coronary, and vascular care. Established interventional, non-invasive, and structural heart programs will offer this surgeon access to both cardiac and thoracic cases, as well as the opportunity to be part of a TAVR program. Dothan, Alabama is recognized nationally as a best place to raise kids and a best place to retire. PRACTICE HIGHLIGHTS:

+ Hospital employed opportunity with Southeast Health Medical Group

+ Practice at one location, no travel is required

+ Clinic located on Southeast Health's campus for easy access to hospital, OR, etc.

+ APP's assist in the OR, perform vein harvesting, facilitate rounds, and see patients in post-op clinic

+ Call shared at 1:3

+ Robust IM Hospitalist service provides medical consult support for non-surgical illnesses

+ Exceptional referral-base with strong Cardiology and Primary Care sources

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Completion (or anticipated completion) of an ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic residency or fellowship is required.

+ Eligibility to obtain an Alabama state medical license and DEA

+ Must be board-certified or board-eligible at the time of hire.

+ Successful completion of the credentialing and payer enrollment process through the Medical Staff Services department at Southeast Health required prior to hire.
