    Position Summary:

    Our FDA-licensed, state-of-the-art CGMP manufacturing facility for Gene Therapies is located on the Harmans/BWI campus. The campus, featuring two manufacturing facilities, is located 5 miles from the Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport and 13 miles from our Baltimore location. The campus is close to Washington, DC’s I-270 Technology Corridor, top universities, and government agencies. The Harmans/BWI-1 EMA and FDA approved facility, at approximately 200,000 sq. ft., houses 10 CGMP manufacturing suites, fill/finish, central services, testing labs, and a warehouse. The Harmans/BWI-2 facility, at approximately 145,000 sq. ft., is under development and will house 8 CGMP manufacturing suites and cold storage warehousing. Both facilities support Phase 3 through commercial manufacturing of advanced therapeutic products including AAV and other viral vector-based therapies and vaccines.

     

    Catalent Pharma Solutions in Harmans, MD is hiring an Engineering Planner who will support the Engineering organization’s maintenance planning activities through the scheduling of engineering resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. All work to be carried out in compliance with cGMP and company standard operating procedures and policies.

     

    This is a full-time on site position. The core hours are Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 4:00PM.

    The Role:

    + Coordinate and schedule equipment maintenance downtime with all impacted parties;

    + Field corrective maintenance work requests and communicate with requestor for additional information, as needed;

    + Schedule and manage vendors for repairs on bioprocess equipment;

    + Development schedules for equipment improvements, changes, or shutdown activities;

    + Provide a high level of customer service and responsiveness to team members and other departments;

    + Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams to provide updates on projects or maintenance;

    + Assist team members with navigation and use of CMMS, Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager;

    + Daily prioritization of repair and PM work orders based on criticality and downtime risk and communicate with Engineering Management. Manage/organize/assign work orders and complete documentation for timely completion;

    + Develop maintenance schedules, work plan templates (WPTs), and work orders for GMP process equipment;

    + Work to targets and deadlines (planning, organizational and prioritization skills);

    + Ability to switch focus to support ongoing manufacturing operations in a dynamic environment;

    + All other duties as assigned

    The Candidate:

    + Minimum High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of experience or equivalent education/experience required;

    + Experience consisting of maintenance or engineering coordination experience in the life science industry is highly preferred;

    + Understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems, equipment, and tools is highly preferred;

    + Experience with CMMS is required, Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager is highly preferred;

    + Basic understanding of root cause analysis (RCA) and asset management principles Must be clear and concise for easy comprehension of candidates’

    + Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical manuals, and OEM documentation;

    + Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential in this collaborative work environment. Exhibit a customer-focus and team player mindset;

    + Experience with Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook);

    + Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift 0-40 pounds;

    Pay

    + The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $90,000 - 105,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states
