BASIC FUNCTION: The Executive Director of Student Services is responsible for developing and supporting school improvement systems
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Lead and develop a multi-tiered system of support that allows for professional learning, support, and school improvement efforts that are tailored to the context and needs of each local school building.
+ Coach and support building-level administration, faculty and staff with school improvement planning and efforts.
+ Work collaboratively with District and school leadership to develop and align school improvement plans.
+ Develop and implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) focused on the development of structures, processes, and measures for academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth of all students including district-wide inclusive social-emotional learning instructional materials. Create and facilitate a systemic approach to provide targeted, timely, and ongoing professional learning and support to District and school staff related to culture and climate goals.
+ Assure that structures and resources from the Educational Leadership and Support Center (ELSC) are in place to support all schools in relation to academic, behavior, attendance, and health/mental health supports.
+ Collaborate with community organizations, agencies and individuals to advance both District and community efforts in relation to behavior, attendance, and health/mental health supports.
+ Serve as the District Title IX Coordinator and actively support proactive programming and response to bullying and harassment complaints, Level 1 complaints, and Title IX complaints.
+ Champion the district policies and procedures to ensure the support of ALL students, with a continuous focus on marginalized populations
+ Provide leadership to the Student Services Team team; overseeing district wide health services programming, K-12 counseling services, community partnerships, bullying and harassment procedures, foster care student services, homelessness supports, immigrant and refugee support, adult and student social, emotional, behavioral health (SEBH), student discipline, student tiered behavioral support. K-12 attendance policy and procedures, and attend truancy court.
+ Assist in growing staff social emotional competencies and understanding of SEL
+ Oversee Bilingual Family Liaisons and interpretation and translation services for the CRCSD.
+ Oversee the district activity council.
+ Oversee juvenile court transitions.
+ Oversee District 504 Programming.
+ Oversee Communitity Partnership.
+ Support Chief of School with Bullying and Harassment.
+ Oversee Homeless, Foster Care and Migratory Education Programming.
+ Oversee Before and After School Wrap Around Programming (Champions)
+ Oversee Kids on Course University summer tutoring programming
+ Attend work on a prompt and regular basis.
+ Collaborate with all Directors of Special Services.
+ Support Chief of Schools with District Hearing Process.
+ Maintain confidentiality.
+ Maintain satisfactory and harmonious working relationships with the public, students, and other employees.
+ Manage all associated budgets.
+ Assist with other duties as assigned.
HIRING SPECIFICATIONS:
Required:
Five or more years of experience with the following:
+ Counselor or Administrator with Evaluator Approval licensure
+ Experience leading diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility initiatives.
+ Experience and skills in leadership, assessment, and evaluation.
+ Competency working in a culturally diverse environment
+ Knowledge in current educational research relative to multi-tiered behavioral frameworks and multi-tiered systems of support (specifically behavior).
+ Experience planning and conducting professional learning that supports diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
+ Experience in data-based decision making that promotes equitable outcomes for all students.
+ Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills (planning, implementing, evaluation, and budget).
+ Applies the principles of continuous improvement through the use of quality tools and processes.
+ Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with individuals, teams, and groups (teachers, parents, administrators and support staff), ability to work with groups of diverse populations.
+ Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred:
1. Experience leading large school or district-wide culture and climate improvements.
2. Experience and results in improving student achievement/behavior in a large school or District setting.
3. Master's degree; relevant experience in education, social work or related field.

Salary: 117,000

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and implement ideas contained in technical documents, reports, regulations, etc. Ability to effectively write reports and communications to administrators, colleagues, parents, students and staff. Ability to effectively present information orally and respond to questions from administrators, teachers, staff and students.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Ability to use spreadsheets and reporting documents that assist with data computation.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve problems effectively. Ability to interpret and implement a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrators, colleagues, community members, staff and students. Ability to speak clearly and concisely both in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables and carts. The noise level in the work environment is often quiet but may become loud in large group settings. The position requires the commitment of professional working hours that will require the employee arrive and leave as directed and may require the employee to extend beyond a typical 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. workday. The employee will usually work in indoor temperatures but will be required to work occasionally in outdoor environments.
