HEMS Technician Homeowners Energy Management

**Job Summary:** Perform residential and whole house energy audits to promote energy efficiency practices and develop energy management improvement plans for customers. You will report to the HEMS Director.
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Primary Tasks:
1. You will perform initial residential energy audits to include blower door test, infrared camera test, duct blaster test, water temperature test, carbon monoxide detection, and gas leak detection.
2. Create a home improvement cost analysis and scope of work to be submitted to internal and external customers.
3. Answer questions and provide support for both internal and external customers.
4. Prepare and submit a comprehensive audit report to the HEMS director and internal and external customers upon completion.
5. You will develop, prepare and submit reports concerning their assigned Tribal Districts.
6. Research and implement current and new energy efficient products and standards.
7. Set appointments with participants, contractors, realtors, and property owners and track status and follow ups for each case.
8. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
* Must acquire BPI and IDL certification within 1 calendar year after hire date
* Knowledge of building code standards and local ordinances and regulations
* Make independent decisions
* Ability to participate in collaborative problem-solving
* Communicate in a clear, tactful and courteous manner using both written and oral communications
* Basic Microsoft Outlook and Outlook skills
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
* 1 year experience in administrative responsibilities
* 2 years of on-site residential construction and energy audit experience
