TSS- Project Controls Analyst- Project Scheduler

WORK LOCATION
+ This position will be located in Birmingham, AL area.
+ This position will require a mix of both field and office work.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and reporting of large capital construction projects and outage/turnaround schedules. This position may also include program level scheduling and reporting.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
_Education:_
+ College diploma or university degree in engineering (ABET accredited university or college), technical, or business field or minimum 7 years relevant experience required.
_Experience:_
+ Minimum 5 years working directly in project controls/project management/construction management for large capital or heavy industrial projects required.
+ Minimum of 3 years working **directly** in Primavera software with CPM scheduling required.
+ Working knowledge of contract methodologies required.
+ Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment required.
_Knowledge:_
+ Extensive understanding of project scheduling techniques along with knowledge and understanding of project controls methods, procedures, and scheduling tools.
+ Knowledge of construction and engineering productivity/earned value processes.
+ Knowledge of project management principles.
+ Knowledge of proper change management tracking and implementation.
_Skills:_
+ Excellent computer skills including Primavera and all Microsoft Office applications.
+ Excellent oral, written, and facilitation skills are essential.
+ Self-motivated with attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to perform all job requirements with minimal supervision.
+ Exhibit ability to work closely with project and construction managers, procurement, and departmental members to ensure consistency and standardization on all projects.
+ Innovative learner with ability to bring fresh ideas to the team.
KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. **_Schedule Development and Maintenance:_** Develop and maintain the schedules for assigned projects and programs, per the project controls scheduling standards and guidelines. Monitor adherence to project scope and ensure change management has been integrated into the schedule. Ensure schedule update process is followed and hold vendors / contractors accountable to our scheduling standards.
**_2. Schedule Reporting:_** Ensure schedule reporting requirements are met. Work with the project team to identify and develop project-specific reports. Ability to discern schedule issues and address appropriately and timely.
**_3. Customer Relations:_** Work closely with project team and customers to ensure scheduling deliverables meet or exceed expectations. Exhibits ability to work well with multiple customers and stakeholders.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
+ Travel will be at a minimum of 25%, with regular site visits as required.
