    The Engineering Manager is a full-time, exempt position with benefits and a preferred hiring range of $42.26 - $52.82 per hour (equivalent to $87,900 - $109,865.60 annually); however, an exact salary will be dependent upon the selected candidate's qualifications/experience and in compliance with City policy.

     

    As the Engineering Manager in Public Utilities, you'll perform a variety of duties, including professional engineering, administrative, and managerial functions while overseeing the development of infrastructure projects, capital project management, preventive maintenance planning, long-term financial modeling, development review, and general support to department divisions.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Undergraduate degree with coursework in civil engineering or related field and extensive (6 or more years) experience in a supervisory or leadership role over public utilities design and operations and the life-cycle management of utility assets. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be used to meet this requirement.

    + Professional Engineer (PE) License in the Commonwealth of Virginia required at time of hire or the ability to attain within department-specified timeframe.

    + Driver's license required.

    + PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred but not require for consideration.
