    Unison is the leading provider of differentiated engine controls, accessories, and performance monitoring solutions in the Aerospace, Defense & Space segments.     This role focuses on driving advancements in service technology by integrating customer data and capturing critical performance metrics such as engine and product reliability, availability, maintenance, safety, and other operational parameters. The position encompasses leadership responsibilities for departmental operations planning and execution, as well as hands-on technical activities within the fleet management discipline.

     

    As a Lead Engineer, you will operate with a degree of autonomy while adhering to established policies and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. You will have the flexibility to refine procedures and practices to optimize outcomes, provided they meet key standards for quality, efficiency, and timeliness. This role requires a balance of strategic oversight and technical expertise to deliver exceptional fleet performance and customer satisfaction.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Support of installed base including activities such as customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, Monitoring & Diagnostics, fleet configuration. Maintenance of fleet data, outage management.

    + Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.

    + Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market

    + Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

    + Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of engineering experience).

    + Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience

    The base pay range for this position is $105,600 - $130,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 6, 2025.
