Job Description Summary
The Lead Product Cybersecurity Engineer will collaborate with development teams to bring product security awareness, drive threat modeling exercises, lead security-focused architecture and code reviews, oversee security tests, and validate security designs across numerous Aviation products, which include embedded products and supporting development environments.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
+ Define embedded product security objectives, analyze product architectures for security vulnerabilities, evaluate threats and define threat vectors, qualitatively assess security risk, define and manage product security requirements, coordinate and conduct security test activities to verify security requirements, and support regulatory certification responses ensuring continued airworthiness
+ Promote a culture of product security engagement across the organization which emphasizes shared responsibility in securing GE Aerospace products from potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities
+ Capture new business opportunities by developing product security approaches to meet customer needs, participating in technical trade studies and generating cost estimates for product security support
+ Help to innovate security technologies for embedded products by defining and executing research and development initiatives with GE Aerospace Advanced Technology and the GE Global Research Center
+ Grow the organization's capabilities by developing and sharing your knowledge of cyber security tools and methodology, and your hands-on experience with analyzing and conducting penetration tests on embedded product technologies
+ Interface with customers, partner companies, suppliers, and other senior leadership within the company
+ Create a competitive advantage for GE by developing efficient and innovative product security strategies which reduce project risk and yield more secure product designs
+ Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as Cyber Intelligence, Systems Engineering, Safety and Quality to perform technical investigations into the validity and applicability of vulnerability claims made against GE Aerospace products or components
+ Contribute to the development of product security engineering processes and work instructions that support the development and continuous improvement of products and services
Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
+ Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with Embedded Systems and/or Engineering. **_While desired, prior embedded cyber security experience is not required for this position._**
Eligibility Requirements:
+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
+ Due to the nature of the work being performed, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government Security Clearance.
_This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
