Summary You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST within the Submarine and Maritime Industrial Operations Directorate (Code N97) of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. #LI-NAVSUPWSS Responsibilities You will perform all Quality Assurance (QA) functions necessary to support the procurement of LI/SOC/FBW spare parts, equipment, and components of the requisite quality. You will serve as a Project Leader in the Integrated Weapons Support Team (ISWT)/QA Division. You will prepare, revise, and issue standard receipt instructions specifying the types of inspections to be performed and acceptance criteria to be used by receipt inspection activities to assure conformance to prescribed standards of quality. You will develop, update, and improve Quality Assurance (QA) provisions/clauses for procurement actions, as required. You will conduct Pre-Award Surveys and Inspection Capability Reviews and participate in Quality System Reviews, Post-Award, and Product Oriented Surveys of contractor facilities. You will review and evaluate Vendor Information Requests (VIRs). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying working knowledge of quality assurance and reliability principles, policies, and procedures. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Providing leadership, technical guidance, and direction to quality, vendor oversight, receipt inspection, and reliability management for assigned programs; 2) Reviewing Vendor Information Requests (VIRs) and ensuring compliance with procurement quality standards; 3) Analyzing vendor data, quality assurance requirements, and manufacturing processes; 4) Utilizing knowledge of military procurement and manufacturing processes, technical specifications, quality assurance standards, and management systems (i.e. MIL-I-45208 and/or ISO 9001) and inspection criteria for parts and equipment (i.e. Level I/SOC/FBW materials); and 5) Leading and managing projects, with an understanding of resource allocation, task prioritization, and team development.
