Role Overview

**Sodexo** is seeking an **Executive Dining Room Mgr 2** to join our amazing team at **Vinson Hall Retirement** **Community** in **McLean, VA** . In this role, you will will oversee dining room operations for the independent living residents, the bistro as well as special catering events. Will report to the General Manager and manage a staff of approximately 15 hourly employees. Must be able to work a flexible schedule - hours may vary with the ability to rotate every other weekend required. Previous bartending experience an added plus!

What You'll Do

+ oversee the day-to-day dining room operations for the Independent Living residents;

+ manage and develop a team of associates to include training and daily scheduling;

+ ensure food quality, safety and presentation of the residents meals;

+ collaborate with other departments to enhance the resident dining experience;

+ oversee special events held in various dining venues on campus.

What You Bring

+ two or more years of food service management experience in the restaurant or senior living industry; prior bartending and/or catering experience a plus;

+ a passion for food service and a high level of customer service;

+ strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed;

+ excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors in an active, fast-paced environment; and

+ have working knowledge of HACCP protocols for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

Minimum Management Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
