    Job Summary:

    The Associate Design Engineer designs, develops, builds, and implements new components, circuits, products, or technologies via Autocad Electrical/Eplan software. Project based workflow and execution. Design and creation of electrical, communication, switchgear, control panel and automation schematics. Budget and projects timelines are key milestones to adhere to for a measure or rate of success.

    What You Will Do:

    + Designs, modifies, and implements CAD templates in the execution of project based schematic development.

    + Researchnew components and competitive products. Organizes, coordinates, and executesthe building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.

    + Develops and documents functional requirements and translates into detail design documents. Participates in buy-build analysis for product components

    + Associates degree

    + Previous experience with CAD Software:AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Autodesk Vault and / or EPLAN

    What Will Set You Apart:

    + Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering (electrical preferred) or Computer Sciencecurriculum

    + Switchgear control experience

    + Utilities experience

    Additional Information:

    + This role sits at our facility in Alpharetta, GA and does not provide relocation

    + 10% or less travel expected

    Summary Pay Range:

    $79,800.00 - $119,760.00

     

    Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
