    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

     

    Troubleshoot equipment to the electronic and/or mechanical component level and dismantle equipment as required to make repairs.

     

    Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.

     

    Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches.

     

    Performs Quarterly Preventative Maintenance activities on all production equipment.

     

    Perform machine clean-outs, replace / monitor filters, as needed.

     

    Back up support for Chips & Coolant position.

     

    Schedules for repairs using outside suppliers as required.

     

    Validates repair of machines and equipment following repair.

     

    With production support operate machine controllers to determine machine status.

     

    Perform facility maintenance and repair items such as plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical as required.

     

    Maintain security, data, and phone systems.

     

    Outside contractors - determine scope of work, solicit bids, schedule and approve work.

     

    Must be available for after-hours / weekend phone calls and call ins.

    Education/Experience:

    High School / Trade School diploma, High School Mechatronics or Technical School graduate, Military mechanic will all be considered. Strong mechanical aptitude. 2 - 3 years of demonstrated mechanical and electrical experience.

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret equipment system and component schematics, professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals or instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and suppliers.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software and be able to navigate on the internet.
