What You Will Do

- JOB SUMMARY

Support Operations, Electrical, Maintenance Depts by providing technical guidance,electronic/automationskills to minimize production downtime. Collaborate on design, application of advanced & complex electronic systems, including programming. Contribute to projects, provide automation support as part of Operational Production Team to Electricians, Engineering Specialist, Project Engineering. Partner with senior staff for implementation, testing, troubleshooting, continuous improvement of electronic automation, control systems.

- WHAT YOU WILL DO _(This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the Company)_

+ Apply hands on knowledge of manufacturing equipment to VFD, PLC (AB-Semiens-Beckholf etc.), HMI, Networking including Profibus -Control Net – DeviceNet - EtherNet, Control Panels, Industrial PCs, Thin Clients, Auto Guided Vehicles, High speed Make Pack Equipment, Robots, Servo Drives, Quality Check Cameras/Scanners, Bar Code Readers, Microwave head calibration/adjustment, VMware proficiency, Marking systems, Laser/Ink Jet Printers, Lot Tracking, Laser production Equipment, Data Acquisition/Reconciliation, Warehouse Storage & retrieval systems, Machine parameter/centerline governance, Backup/Recovery Imaging, Waste Reduction, Basic IT skills for communications troubleshooting, Load Cell, Weighing Devices, Blending Equipment including Bulkers, motors, conveyors, Spray Application Systems, Process piping knowledge proficiency (including piping, valves, pneumatic, pumps, flowmeters, etc.), Lot Tracking -POloading/downloading/troubleshooting,Data Acquisition Reporting systems

+ Support Plant Facilities Maintenance, Plant Production Maintenance, Plant Engineering & Operations by applying electrical technical knowledge/training, ET system training/mentorship, including programming machine troubleshooting for electrical/automated systems. Support Powerhouse initiatives - Steam Valves, Cooling Towers, AC Penthouses. Change Control compliance. Understand/analyze trend data to determine root cause for improvement

+ Maintain adequate spare parts for production/facility equipment by evaluating M&R spare part inventory, set up parts for new equipment, recommend & locate replacements for obsoleteness

+ Partner with Loss Teams, Mini Business Units, Maintenance Supervisors, electronic technicians in analyzing equipment performance, Root Cause analysis, identifying sources of repeat failure, recommending solutions, assisting with implementation of solution

+ Support installation, qualification, calibration of Instrumentation throughout facility ensure audit records are current/in compliance. Manage calibration data records, test equipment certification, compliance

+ Target Weightverification/StandardAdherence to Written Standards, P&D Brand Standards/Creation on equipment, shift transition, application of Lean Manufacturing Principles

+ Perform PC Imaging including PLC/HMI Backups for equipment reliability & “hot swap” replacement

+ Partner with cross functional teams streamlining manufacturing processes through design, configuration, implementation, support, integration of process control, automation systems

+ Analyze manufacturing data, metrics to improve equipment to reduce process stops, resolve issues

+ Improve technical expertise through schools, seminars & presentations directly related to job function

+ Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

- REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

+ High School Diploma/GED with 3+ years industry related experience, **or** Associate’s degree in Electronics, or the equivalent, and select advanced engineering courses with 1+ years of experience with electronic controls and instrumentation including design work

+ Electronics controls, instrumentations, and design work

+ Must be 21 years of age or older

Knowledge of:

+ Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams

+ Manufacturing automation systems

+ IWS and Lean manufacturing, a plus

Skilledin:

+ Planning, organizing, and prioritizing multiple projects

+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

+ Attention to detail

+ Problem/situation analysis

+ Multitasking capabilities

Work Environment and Physical Demand

+ Requires moderate physical effort. Occasionally lifts or moves objects up to 10 lbs.

+ Reach and grasp objects / hand eye coordination.

+ Stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

+ Walks, sits, or stands for extended periods.

+ Requires prolonged machine operation including vehicle, computer, and keyboard equipment.

+ Use of manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

+ Identify and distinguish color and shades of color.

+ Work with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injury.

+ Experience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditions including second-hand smoke and/or vape.

+ Risk for occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
