Customer Service Security Officer - Overnight Shift

**Location:** Seattle, WA

**Rate:** $28.05/Hour

**Shift:** Overnight - Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon (10pm - 6:45am) 32hrs Full Time

The ideal candidate will be open and willing to work an outdoors grave shift post from 10pm-6:45am. They will be able to provide extraordinary customer service to our clients and their guests. Position Requirements:

+ 18 years of age or older

+ High School Diploma or GED Required

+ Standard computer / technology skills needed

+ Must be able to provide exceptional customer service to our clients and their guests

+ Must be responsible, accountable, objective, and have a strong work ethic

+ Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal / written communication

+ Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus

+ Customer service background preferred

+ Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner

+ Must possess a valid driver’s license for state of assignment and insurable driving record

+ Must have a reliable means of communication

+ Must have a reliable means of transportation

+ Must have 2 years of security, customer service, or hospitality experience - Work experience in the security industry, public service (police, fire), or military is desired

COMPETENCIES (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

+ Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers

+ Must successfully complete classroom and continuous on the job training as mandated by account and company management

+ Capable of learning a variety of security and safety devices and controls

+ Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments

+ Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances

+ Ability to act effectively without immediate supervision in making judgments regarding site policy and procedures in the absence of supervision, and to follow up on actions taken

+ Ability to write routine correspondence, including logs and reports

+ Ability to interact effectively at various social levels and across diverse cultures

+ Ability to take initiative and achieve results

+ Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization

+ Ability to operate a vehicle safely for travel in the performance of duties

**WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:** With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to effectively perform all essential functions. In addition to other demands, the demands of the job include:

+ Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations

+ May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area

+ Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently

+ Regular seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly to communicate with employees and clients

+ Depending upon assignment, may be exposed to inclement weather, or be required to work in environments or under conditions that require the use of protective gear and devices and/or awareness of personal safety and safety of others

+ Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds, occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds and additional lifting and/or moving ability as might be required for the assigned site

+ Occasional pulling of a chain to lift a shipping and receiving door; occasional pushing and pulling of a roller gate

+ Handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information

+ Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
