    Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, with secondary support operation located in Jacksonville, FL, RQ Construction is a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We currently have a backlog of work of $1B in CA, WA, VA, NC, SC, LA, FL and also Guantanamo Cuba and Puerto Rico. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

     

    We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team at our office in Jacksonville, FL. This position will be part of RQ's mechanical and plumbing engineering design development practices in all regions of work performed by RQ, in adherence to U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Army surveying, planning and RFP design standards.

     

    As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will work collaboratively to prepare project proposals, coordinate design work activities, and complete project designs.

     

    Pay: 80k-100k

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    + Bachelor Science Mechanical Engineering Degree - Focus on HVAC and Plumbing Engineering

    + Working towards or has a P.E. license.

    + 3 to 5+ years of Mechanical (HVAC) / Plumbing design experience within a consulting firm.

    + Experience with ASHRAE 90.1, 62.1 and 55.

    + Experience with California Title 24 Energy Code.

    + Experience with BIM and Revit essential.

    + Experience with sustainable design desirable.
