We have an exciting opportunity for a **Principal** **Systems Engineer** – **Mission Management (MM) Flight Dynamics Component Chief** where your knowledge of spacecraft dynamics as well as your leadership abilities will be put to good use. In this role, you will help define the program implementation plan and provide technical direction to a cross functional organization of systems, software, and platform engineers. You will be responsible for the technical follow through of the program in your respective area, including providing technical direction and clarification of requirements to software development teams & test personnel, perform system engineering analyses including trade studies, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. You will also support Systems Engineers, defining operations concepts and procedure planning / development pertaining to mission management flight dynamics as well as interface with personnel from other organizations and represent the program at technical interchange meetings. The work is on-site in Aurora, CO.
What You Will Do
+ Establish and maintain the program technical baseline as it relates to the Mission Management domain
+ Provide technical direction and clarification of requirements and design to systems engineers, software development teams and integration and test personnel as it pertains to the Mission Management domain
+ Develop program growth strategies and support capture/proposal efforts
+ Support technical interchange meetings with program management and the customer and represent the organization in matters pertaining to mission management flight dynamics
+ Active and transferrable TS/SCI U.S. government issued clearance is required prior to start date
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or a related field and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
+ Experience within the Mission Management Domain and knowledge of Spacecraft Dynamics, including Orbital Dynamics and Attitude Control
+ Development experience leading engineering teams on a large-scale government contract
+ Experience with systems engineering lifecycle, roles and functions in one or more of the following areas: Concept of Operations (ConOps) development, requirements definition and management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, and/or verification and validation
+ Experience providing technical direction and clarification of requirements and design to systems engineers, software development teams and/or integration and test personnel.
+ Experience with Agile principles, to include Agile systems engineering practices and understanding of Agile roles
Qualifications We Prefer
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation skills to communicate status, issues, and resolution plans across all major stakeholders including Raytheon senior stakeholders, customers, and major subcontractors
+ Experience working in a multi-discipline environment
+ Experience with Matlab and Satellite Toolkit (STK)
+ Experience working in a software development environment
+ Experience overseeing and/or leading Systems Engineering teams

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
