We are seeking a motivated and meticulous Business Analyst to join our Billing team. This role provides a unique opportunity to shape and implement the wholesale power billing process for Member Systems under the Wholesale Power Contract and Rate Schedule A. You will be instrumental in producing and validating bills, troubleshooting, and resolving issues, and collaborating with various departments and external customers. As a key player in the creation of a brand-new program and system improvements, you will have high visibility within the organization, ensuring impactful work with many opportunities for creativity and innovation. Job Duties:
+ Data Exchange & Billing Support: Track, validate, and load monthly billing data using the Billing Data Interfaces System and Data Verification System. Produce monthly Data Issues Report and collaborate with the GSOC and other teams to ensure accuracy.
+ Issue Resolution: Participate in meetings to resolve billing issues, addressing inquiries from Members and their consultants. Investigate, analyze, and troubleshoot problems to ensure the accuracy of billing information.
+ Bill Production and Verification: Produce and validate Member Bills and associated reports. Lead bill review sessions, identify issues, and track changes. Maintain Autobill and Autobill Verification software, ensuring smooth billing operations.
+ Change Implementation & Process Improvement: Assist in the analysis and implementation of changes to billing rules and calculations. Collaborate with teams to enhance billing software systems, ensuring they meet evolving needs.
+ Reporting & Analysis: Verify and provide timely data and reports to internal and external stakeholders, analyzing results to ensure accurate and efficient billing processes.
+ Collaboration & Documentation: Engage with cross-functional teams, providing support and acting as a point of contact for Members and consultants. Participate in the administration of the Ivanti Billing Issues Tracking and Change Management System and document meeting minutes for Billing Issues Documentation Team (BIDT).
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Experience:
+ Minimum of 3 years in a Business Analyst position, with exposure to Accounting.
+ Experience in an electric utility environment, with exposure to contract/billing/metering/operations is a plus.
+ Strong knowledge of IT systems, wholesale market operations, and customer relations is essential.
Specialized Skills:
+ General understanding of Accounting and Finance principles
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
+ Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities
+ Ability to work well as part of a collaborative team
+ Knowledge of utilities practices, power contracts, and power system operations is desirable
