Banner University Medical Group is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our esteemed Orthopedic team at the Banner University Medicine Phoenix. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional orthopedic care to our diverse patient population.

Position Overview:

+ Title: Orthopedic Physician Assistant

+ Location: Banner University Medicine Phoenix

+ Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8 AM 5 PM

+ Call Requirements: None

Key Responsibilities:

+ Conduct comprehensive and problem-focused patient histories and physical examinations.

+ Order, interpret, and correlate laboratory and diagnostic procedures to formulate differential diagnoses and establish working diagnoses.

+ Develop and implement treatment plans for orthopedic conditions within the scope of practice.

+ Perform therapeutic procedures such as joint and bursa aspirations, injections, and applications of braces, casts, and splints.

+ Assist in surgical procedures, including first assist, tissue closures, and application of appliances.

+ Participate in hospital rounds, write orders, and contribute to patient education and counseling on preventive care.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Current, unrestricted Arizona Physician Assistant license.

+ Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

+ Current prescribing privileges, including a DEA license for controlled substances.

+ Minimum of one year of professional experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in orthopedic surgery.

+ Experiencein trauma and foot/ankle surgery is preferred.

+ Strong decision-making skills and the ability to function effectively within a collaborative care model.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Highly energized and flexible, with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
