Overview

We are seeking a motivated Acoustics Engineer to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in developing their technical skills in the field of Acoustics and will contribute to overall project design and delivery.

Responsibilities

+ Provide detailed acoustic analysis and prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations for clients.

+ Analyze and develop noise mitigation strategies for a variety of engineering projects such as roadway, rail and transit, and industrial facilities.

+ Conduct acoustic measurements, modeling, and simulations using industry-standard tools and software.

+ Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate acoustic solutions into overall project designs.

+ Stay informed about local building codes, regulations, and standards related to acoustics and noise control.

+ Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining client satisfaction.

+ Conduct site visits and oversee the implementation of acoustic solutions during construction phases.

+ Provide technical expertise related to noise control, sound isolation, room acoustics, HVAC noise and vibration control, and environmental noise assessments.

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.

+ A minimum of 5 years of experience in acoustic consulting, with a proven track record of successfully completed projects.

+ Proficiency in acoustic modeling software

+ Strong knowledge of soundproofing, vibration isolation, and noise control techniques.

+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

+ Experience with the use of sound and vibration test equipment

+ Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines

+ Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment

+ Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrently

+ Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills with a continuous mindset on personal and staff development

+ Positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic

Salary Range -$100,000 - $170,000
