    Job Description:

    Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quality Control/Safety Lead to join our team!

    What You'll Be Doing:

    + Manage your daily activities to provide full quality and safety coverage of multiple concurrent construction projects at the Wallops Flight Facility. Includes drawing review, safety document review, site observation and interaction, quality observations and reporting.

    + Perform daily site walkthroughs, surveillance inspections, and safety audits to ensure contractor adherence to project specifications, drawings, and applicable federal safety standards (OSHA, EM 385-1-1, NFPA).

    + Ensure project sites and activities are compliant with OSHA, NASA, and Parsons Safety and Quality standards.

    + Perform Quality Control inspections and observation of subcontractors, submittals, materials, and work quality.

    + Perform Quality control of subcontractors with regard to work quality.

    + Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Deficiency Notices, and Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) as required and follow up on resolution status.

    + Support accident and near-miss investigations and assist in root cause analysis and reporting.

    + Participate in the creation of the project construction schedule.

    + Actively participate in the government lead project progress meetings.

    + Coordinate receipt and review of subcontractor Activity Hazard Analysis (AHAs), implement and enforce accepted AHAs prior to the start of work activity.

    + Provides timely and accurate feedback information for reports. Provides effective communication to construction staff and senior management on project quality and safety status to allow information to be put into status reports.

    What Required Skills You'll Bring:

    + Bachelor's Degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent construction-related work experience, as well as 10-15 years of experience in field construction is required.

    + OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety as a minimum or equivalent USACE EM 385 training.

    + OSHA 1926 knowledge and field experience in managing construction safety such as confined space, LOTO, scaffolding, fall protection, NFPA 72, first aid/CPR.

    + Good communication skills are a must. Primarily the candidate should have the ability to coach and help train individuals in the use of best safe working practices

    What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

    + A focus on quality that ensures the client receives what is in the contract documents.

    + Proficiency in basic computer skills and drawing interpretation is required.

    + Electronic file organizational skills and a thoroughness in documenting daily activities and issues.

    Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
