Summary
**SUMMARY** : The Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing the daily responsibilities of the human resources function, helping to build, improve and capitalize on the strength of our physicians and staff, and helping develop a long-term vision of the human capital capabilities necessary to sustain the ongoing success of Alameda Health Medical Group.
**DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** : NOTE: Following are the duties performed by employees in this classification. However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
1. Work with the Director of Operations and of AHS leadership to set priorities and direction for human resource initiatives that support overall business objectives. Plan, develop, implement, and administer processes, programs, and best practices that increase the productivity, competency, and effectiveness of Alameda Health System.
2. Provide effective oversight for all human resources functions daily. Lead the delivery of processes and services that meet quality standards established by best practices and company policy with a focus on benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and legal compliance. Responsible for integrity of the payroll system in conjunction with AHS HR resources.
3. Manage employee relation issues (including sexual harassment, workplace conduct, performance improvement plans, and resolution of performance issues), acting as a resource to both managers and employees, intervening as necessary and consulting with corporate legal counsel when appropriate. Provide guidance and counsel to managers on employee-related matters. Consult with employees and managers to address root causes of work-related problems and issues, attempting to resolve employee relation issues with a systematic approach. Maintain strict confidentiality on all employee-related issues.
4. Participate in the design, structure and negotiation of new benefit programs and the improvement of existing employee benefit offerings. Administer benefit plans including contract management and lead the open enrollment process. Assist with the communication of new or modified benefit plans.
5. Maintain policies and procedures as well as a current and fully complete employee handbook. Continually monitor the effectiveness of policies and recommend improvements if they will result in improved results. Coach managers and staff on the interpretation and implementation of relevant human resource policies, procedures and programs.
6. Coordinate all required compliance training and ensure that Alameda Health Medical Group is always fully compliant with human resource and safety-related regulations and requirements.
7. Deliver any special projects or assignments that the Director of Operations or Executive Director from time to time might request
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** :
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
Required Experience: Minimum of 4 to 7 years working in a hospital or medical office; and 4 to 7 years’ experience in analytics related to revenue cycle management, human resources and analyst duties which may include benefits, licensure and other related areas.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
