    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Data Scientist** to join our **Business Banking Analytics team** . This individual contributor role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage predictive analytics on our data to drive actionable insights at scale. The ideal candidate understands the intricacies of navigating a large financial institution and delivers results without close supervision.

    Responsibilities Summary

    + Responsible for predictive analytics projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data.

    + Specializes in developing and programming methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse big data sources to generate insights and solutions for banker enablement and product enhancement.

    + Acquires data from multiple data sources to perform analysis.

    + Implements and validates predictive models as well as create and maintain statistical models with a focus on big data.

    + Identifies, analyzes and interprets trends or patterns in complex data to provide answers to business questions as well as provide recommendations for action.

    + Interprets data and analyzes results using various advanced statistical techniques and tools.

    + Presents data and analysis in a clear and concise manner allowing the audience to quickly understand the results and recommendations and make data driven decisions.

    + Collaborates with various partners to prioritize requests/needs and provide a holistic view of the analysis.

    + Measures and monitors results of applied recommendations and present adjustments.

    + Ensures all data acquisition, sharing and results of applied recommendations are compliant with company standards.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, engineering or applied mathematics, or equivalent work experience

     

    - Six to eight years of relevant experience

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    + Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract, collect, organize, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex and fragmented data sets

    + Experience in analytics, advanced analytics/statistics, and data visualization

    + Strong expertise in machine learning techniques, with demonstrated success in building and deploying models

    + Experience in facilitating model risk management in large financial organizations

    + Experience in python/R/SAS/SQL for data extraction, data mining, and predictive analytics

    + Demonstrated project management skills

    + Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to navigate diverse stakeholders from product, tech, analytics and risk

     

    Location Expectations

     

    _The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days._

    The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $119,765.00 - $140,900.00 - $154,990.00
