Description

The main function of the Sanitation employee is to keep the plant clean and presentable. This position reports to the sanitation supervisor.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

- Responsible for following all plant safety rules.

- Responsible for keeping the plant clean to include scale rooms and penthouse.

- Responsible for emptying all garbage cans and dumpsters.

- Changing out and dumping oil and sludge barrels

- Cleaning locker rooms, bathrooms, offices and stairwells.

- Operating the sweeper.

- Loading trucks with scrap wood material.

- Painting

- Along with other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Sanitation Manager

Requirements

Applicant must have demonstrated the following in previous positions:

• Safety awareness

• Attention to detail

• Ability to understand the basic operating procedures a forklift, barrel dumper, trash compactor and various cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, sweepers and scrapers.

• Verbal and written communication with co-workers, and management

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Organizational skills

• Ability to prioritize and Multi-task effectively

• Work with minimal supervision and /or direction
