The Scientific Support Specialist – Virology plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our virology quality control processes. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Job Duties Include:

+ Execute rigorous technical oversight of Virology quality control assays, ensuring adherence to strict protocols and standards.

+ Maintain laboratory integrity through meticulous performance of essential duties, including cleaning, inventory management, and cold room organization (5S methodology).

+ Produce high-quality technical documentation to support laboratory operations and regulatory requirements.

+ Conduct thorough investigations of laboratory deviations and errors:

+ Employ advanced analytical skills to determine root causes

+ Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)

+ Perform comprehensive data audits

+ Author detailed reports as required

+ Ensure all investigations adhere to compliance-driven timelines

+ Design and execute Qualification and Validation studies to maintain the highest standards of laboratory performance.

+ Provide critical analytical change management support for Virology testing laboratories, facilitating seamless transitions and continuous improvement.

+ Uphold unwavering compliance with cGMPs, GLPs, regulations, and company policies/procedures in all laboratory activities.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

+ BS in a scientific field with 1+ years of experience or MS with graduate research/6 months+ experience

+ Aseptic laboratory technique and troubleshooting experience

+ Technical writing skills and experience with LIMS and electronic laboratory notebooks

+ Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

+ Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Ability to manage multiple projects and develop innovative solutions

+ Strong organizational skills and GMP knowledge

+ Adaptability and positive attitude in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

The position is first shift, full-time Mon-Fri 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of West Point, PA are encouraged to apply.
