We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our quality-focused team in a hands-on lab-based role. This position involves a mix of sampling, testing, and inspection work in a cleanroom and lab environment. Ideal candidates are team players with strong communication skills, a passion for science, and a desire to contribute to a high-performing, customer-focused operation. Responsibilities Include:

+ Sampling and Testing of Compressed Gas Systems

+ Sampling and testing of compressed gas tankers

+ Working in a cleanroom environment, dispensing raw materials, and performing inspections of containers

+ Receiving, handling, and disposing of samples

+ Calibrates or verifies the calibration of instruments/devices before use.

+ Accurately records test results and reports any quality anomalies

+ Maintains laboratory supplies and performs laboratory housekeeping as assigned

+ Ensures excellent customer service to clients

+ Participates in required training activities

+ Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements

+ Potential cross-training opportunities with testing, including pH, Conductivity, Nitrate identification, Total Organic Carbon, and Appearance

This position is an indoor lab-based position, working in biopharmaceutical manufacturing cleanrooms and lab spaces. Position requires significant time spent in ISO 8 cleanrooms with the following restrictions:

+ No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans etc) are permitted and must be removed before entry

+ Nails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)

+ No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)

+ Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science-related degree concentration, or equivalent directly related experience

+ Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

+ Is self-motivated, adaptable, team-oriented, and has a positive attitude

+ Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

+ Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail

+ Desire to work in a moderately physical role that requires standing much of the time

+ Strong computer and organizational skills

+ Fosters a healthy, trusting environment and champions transparency and communication

+ GMP, biopharmaceutical, or other related industry experience

+ Familiarity with LIMS

What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

+ 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter

+ 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader

+ 30 Minute Virtual Meeting with Site Director

Additional Details:

The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7 am-3:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
