    We are looking for a strong communicator with advanced organizational skills to join the team in **Nampa Patient Registration** as a **Patient Scheduling and Registration Specialist!**

     

    In this role, you will greet patients and family members, obtain all necessary information (demographic, financial, insurance, etc) and assist with completion of the registration process. You will primarily support the **Cardiopulmonary Rehab Clinic** team and assist with scheduling tasks, payment operations, and ensuring the patient is cleared for service delivery.

     

    **POSITION DETAILS:** This position will work a day-shift schedule with hours between 7:00AM - 6:00PM Monday - Friday. This position is located at the main hospital campus in Nampa.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required.

    + Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

    + Past work experience of at least 2 years within a healthcare provider and/or payer environment performing patient access and/or customer service activities, are highly desired but not required.

    + Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) credentials by the National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) and Certified Patient Account Technician (CPAT) credentials by the American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) is also preferred.

    + Data entry skills (50-60 keystrokes per minutes) preferred.

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** :

    + Demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in all behaviors, practices, and decisions.

    + Performs accurate insurance verification, pre-authorization, scheduling, and patient estimates in advance of patient care.

    + Provides scheduling and registration services for inpatient and outpatient departments, ensuring compliance with workflows and patient care needs.

    + Ensures patient safety by authenticating patient identity and meeting payor pre-authorization requirements.

    + Communicates financial responsibilities to patients and collects appropriate liabilities, providing financial education and documentation.
