    Job Description

    This position delivers academic support services including supplemental instruction, individual and small group tutoring, study groups, and other programming in the area of Radiography. This position is responsible for marketing of tutoring services and coordinating schedules to accommodate students and whole classes of students with faculty in these departments to utilize themselves, peer tutors, and Tutor.com to meet Radiography student needs.

     

    + Coordinate and deliver direct supplemental instructional & direct tutoring services for Radiography.

    + Maintain accurate departmental records.

    + Provide direct support to students through tutoring, academic support, testing and College-wide activities.

    + Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant licensure in the Radiography field.

    + Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and students.

    + Ability to work effectively with students from diverse and underserved backgrounds.

    + Ability to independently coordinate multiple tasks and respond to a wide range of situations in an organized, effective manner.

    Preferred Qualification

    + Experience teaching/tutoring all levels of Radiography.

    + Experience with data collection and continuous improvement analysis.

    + Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

    + Working knowledge of Desire2learn, Zoom, and Teams.

    + Knowledge of methods and strategies needed to aid in the students’ comprehension / completion of coursework and the ability to adjust these methods and strategies according to the needs of the individual student.

    + Ability to translate complex information into concrete concepts while accommodating students’ learning styles to aid their comprehension.

    + Ability to locate supplemental information online to aid students’ comprehension and completion.

    + Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other legal and privacy issues.

    + Bilingual/multilingual fluent in Spanish, Somali, Karen, Anuak, Nuer, or other languages that reflect our student body, workforce, and communities.

    + Demonstrated experience working with multicultural and underserved populations.
