    Senior Healthcare Program Specialist - Albany, NY or NYC

    Summary:

    •​This person will be supporting Career Pathways Training (CPT) Program . This program is an education and training program that was authorized under New York's 1115 Demonstration Waiver, as part of the New York Health Equity Reform (NYHER) waiver amendment. This program is designed to create a reliable workforce pipeline to address workforce shortages by funding education and training for health, behavioral health and social care workers throughout New York State.

     

    The program is administered by three regional Workforce Investment Organizations (WIO) that are responsible for recruitment and outreach, providing support services, and aiding in job placement for participants. Through these WIOs, NYS is authorized to provide educational support services such as educational case management, tutoring, benefits navigations, language services, and career support services – career planning, job placement, and job readiness training. The goal is to support students from start to finish as they train for new titles. They are then expected to complete a 3-year service commitment in the new title.

     

    • **Duties of the position include:**

    + ​Contract management and fiscal management of a Workforce Investment Organizations (WIO)

    + ​Voucher reconciliation of the fiscal submissions made by the WIO

    + ​Review and submit budgets and contract renewals

    + ​Meet on a regular basis with the WIO and provide assistance on vouchers, budgets, and programmatic issues

    + ​Perform quality assurance and audits, including site visits

    + ​​Analyze, track, and report on program activities and contract deliverables

    + ​Review and track spending of providers

    + ​Provide training to providers on program requirements and vouchering​​

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    + Nine (9) or more years of experience in health care related field*

    + *An associate degree counts toward 2 years of experience, a bachelor's degree counts toward 4 years of experience, and a master’s degree counts toward 5 years of experience

     

    Compensation for roles at Staffing Solutions Organization LLC (SSO) varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, SSO provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, SSO provides a range of benefits for this role.
