Job Description

One of Insight Global's O&G clients is looking to hire a Sr. Software Engineer to join their Optimization group within within their Information Systems department. This team is dedicated to optimizing oil and gas production through technology. This person will be responsible for building new applications from scratch, as well as enhancing and modifying existing applications. This role requires about 85% back-end development in Typescript, Node.js, and SQL, and 15% front-end development in React. This person is also responsible for creating Oracle database tables, and optimizing queries. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite 5 days / week in downtown, Houston. Based on knowledge and experience, this position offers an hourly rate range of $55-69/hr.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience developing applications in Typescript

5+ years of experience with Node.js, Express, and Nest.js

Experience integrating ML models into applications

Strong experience developing APIs

Strong experience with Oracle, Postres, and MemSQL databases

Ability to create database tables and optimize queries O&G industry experience null
