    Job Description

    Insight Global's Transportation and Logistics client is looking for an Azure Cloud Developer for a contract to hire opportunity. This person will work a hybrid schedule out of the Reading, PA office. This team supports external company websites and this developer will focus on developing and deploying customer applications (primarily java) into azure. This person will be responsible for creating cloud solutions based on the problems the business is facing, and will need to come up with solutions for new business initiatives, problems & correct existing problems.

     

    This position is 50% developing in java and 50% cloud solutioning. You will have an opportunity to lead the design of certain software components and suggest new products, applications and features based on industry and technological trends and advances. You will also consult with process owners in reviewing, interpreting & developing systems in accordance with user requirements. Finally, you will get an opportunity to work with a diverse team and mentor junior software engineers.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    1. Design, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable cloud solutions on the Azure platform, with a focus on Java-based services in Azure OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.

    2. Utilize Azure Cognitive Services, AI/ML, and other Azure services to create intelligent, data-driven applications, dynamic websites and implement cloud-based solutions.

    3. Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including designing, coding, testing, and troubleshooting, while adhering to Azure DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    -5+ years: Design, develop, deploy and maintain high-quality products and solutions using Java.

     

    -2-3 years of recent hands on experience with azure; creating cloud solutions

     

    -Ability to design, develop, and deploy high-performance, scalable cloud solutions on the Azure platform with java

     

    - Experience in migrating on prem java applications to Azure cloud.

     

    -- Experience with containerized solutions like Openshift/Kubernetes.

     

    - Experience with Message Broker solutions like Kafka, Event Grid preferred. Azure Solutions Architect Expert Cert

     

    Azure Developer Associate Cert.
