Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a highly experienced Project Engineer to manage engineering project deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical project management, engineering project management, and continuous improvement methodologies. This role involves close integration with controls and design engineers, vendor coordination, and scope management. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring all project requirements are clearly documented and communicated to all project stakeholders through the creation of design basis document, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). As part of these duties, they will forecast the work hours to completion and managing adherence to schedule are critical for project success. Candidates will contribute to continuous improvement (CI) of engineering processes. Up to 20% travel domestically to project sites.
Salary: $120,000-140,000k

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related degree
- Strong experience with managing engineering project deliverables
- Mechanical engineering experience with production systems
o Hydraulic or piping systems, HVAC or Ventilation systems, automated equipment, Sheet metal machining, fabrication, assembly line equipment, P&IDs
- Experience with creating technical project definition documents
o Reading, digesting, and applying industry codes and standards to establish requirements for standard products and/or projects
- Good understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems used for industrial manufacturing.
- Experience in root cause analysis/ process development & implementing/ reviewing new standards and drive continuous improvement initiatives. - Experience performing hand calculations and computer aided analysis (CFD/FEA) a plus.
- Solidworks, Revit, AutoCad, AutoDesk
- Exposure to the construction industry
- Exposure to Lean methodologies and Agile
- PE, PM, Lean Certification null
