Our client, a leading provider in the logistics industry, is seeking a General Laborer I to join their team. As a General Laborer I, you will be part of the operations supporting the movement and handling of materials. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be detail-oriented, and possess a team player mentality, which will align successfully in the organization.

**Job Title:** General Laborer I

**Location:** Bedford Park, IL

**Pay Range:** $20.00 per hour

What's the Job?

+ Attach identifying tags to containers, or mark them with identifying information.

+ Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs.

+ Record numbers of units handled and moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.

+ Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, and other equipment.

+ Sort cargo before loading and unloading.

What's Needed?

+ High school diploma or GED required.

+ 0-2 years of experience in a similar role.

+ Verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

+ Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations.

+ Detail-oriented and a team player.
