At AuthX, we are the guardians of Amazon's Authentication eXperience. Our mission is to create and maintain the seamless account creation and sign-in processes that form the gateway to Amazon's vast ecosystem. From streaming the latest episode of The Expanse to ordering groceries or interacting with Alexa, every Amazon customer interaction begins with our systems. As a Senior Software Development Engineer at AuthX, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, tasked with reimagining and refining the authentication experience for millions of users worldwide. Your expertise will be crucial in designing and developing enterprise-scale distributed systems that can handle the immense volume and complexity of Amazon's authentication needs. You'll be expected to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, researchers, and business intelligence engineers to drive innovation and measure the impact of our solutions.

Whether your strength lies in front-end, back-end, or full-stack development, AuthX offers a rich landscape of projects that will both leverage your existing skills and challenge you to expand your expertise. Key job responsibilities

- Designing and developing enterprise scale distributed systems

- Embracing operational excellence and win customer trust.

Basic Qualifications

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

Preferred Qualifications

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
